First Post in 2023 and 3 New Clients to Share!
Plus another new client will join Team Pronto next month...
I know, I know, it’s been some time since I last shared an update. Every time I went to start a new post, I had a new client pending and wanted to wait until everything was solidified so I can share one post vs. three. So, here we are!
To keep it short and sweet, 2023 is off to a BUSY start. I’ve traveled to the Catskills and Georgia (the state, not the country) and have another trip coming up next week…All for work, of course.
In addition to Hotel Poseidon Positano (Italy), Paper Planes (NYC), Greenleaf (NH), Ansanm (NH), and Chef Lisa Brooks (NC), I’m so excited to introduce you to the two new hotels and one new chef that I now represent 🥰

Through the power of TikTok, I stumbled upon Blue Ridge Inn in Blue Ridge, Georgia in October 2022. Well, technically, I found the inn owner’s TikTok page because he posted a great video about his inn. I sent him a quick message and by February we were working together. I flew down to meet him, stay at the inn, and immerse myself in Blue Ridge, and let me just say that two days was just not enough time. I could’ve spent a week…maybe more. If you know me and know why I started Pronto PR, you’d know it’s because I am passionate about independently-owned and family-owned businesses. Downtown Blue Ridge is made up entirely of just that. From pet shops and boutiques to wineries and restaurants, the town really has it all. Blue Ridge Inn is an 1890s Victorian home-turned-hotel that the present owner purchased in October of 2021. After just a couple of months of renovations, the inn opened to the public in early 2022 and has been welcoming travelers ever since. The property boasts 8 rooms and suites, a wonderful onsite coffee lounge called Mountain Mama’s that’s run by the nicest human named Moe (in addition to being an insanely talented barista, she’s an artist, too! She painted the beautiful mural on the wall) and Porch & Parlor, the innkeeper’s new antique shopping parlor fit with some of his favorite thrift finds that let his guests take a ‘piece of the inn’ home.

Next up is Blue Fox Motel in Narrowsburg, New York - To some, it’s considered to be located in the Hudson Valley or Upstate New York, but it’s considered to be in the Catskills. Blue Fox Motel is a 1950s mid-century boutique motel that's been lovingly restored and renovated by business and life partners - Meg & Jorge. The property offers four different types of accommodations including 18 rooms (think quirky motel rooms and woodsy cabins) and a standalone house with five bedrooms and three bathrooms, a restaurant and bar, a pool and poolside bar, various event spaces, a garden for fresh herbs/ veggies and dinner parties, and more. In addition to motel stays, the property is known for its capabilities to host weddings and corportate retreats. If you know about the town of Narrowsburg, you know that it’s relatively small, but the community is tight-knit and passionate about local artists and supporting small businesses. There are an array of immersive experiences, shops, cafes, restaurants, and ample amounts of hiking and walking trails, so if a day off the property is of interest, the downtown area is just a 10-minute drive away.

Last but definitely not least is Adjoa Courtney, professionally known as Chef Joya. She quite literally does it all… Joya is a Charlotte-based personal chef but is also known in and around the South and on social media as a leading vegan and Queer chef personality that makes vegan cuisine fun, approachable, and delicious. Chef Joya is the author of FOUR self-published cookbooks that offer vegan recipes for every palate, including It’s Soul Mahmazing which showcases the best vegan soul food, and From My Ancestors’ Table which highlights African and Caribbean vegan food, among others. Chef Joya hosts monthly brunch pop-ups in Charlotte called Brunchin’ With Chef Joya, and just recently announced The Taste of Motown Dining Experience, a multi-city culinary tour showcasing vegan dishes inspired by the greats of Motown. Current cities include Chicago (April) and Dallas (May). Additional cities will be announced on her Instagram page and website.

Next week, I head back up north to visit my client, Top Chef 18 & 2022 James Beard Semifinalist Chris Viaud for a special soft opening dinner at his newly-acquired restaurant, Pavilion, the onsite restaurant to the nationally-recognized Pickering House Inn in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. Yes, Chef Chris Viaud is still the owner of Greenleaf and Ansanm in Milford! On that same trip, I’ll be making a stop in another New England town to visit my newest client and his two restaurants — all of which will be announced next month! (Hint: He’s a 3x Chopped Champion!)
Did you catch all that?! If you have any questions, want to learn more about guest experiences at the hotels, and/or cooordinate a visit with any of my clients, you know where to reach me — Laina@ProntoPublicRelations.com
